At our September breakfast we celebrated 25 years of recognising and rewarding excellence in the manufacturing sector in Melbourne's south east, with a special presentation by our Deputy Chair Rod Shell.
We also heard from our final two Business of the Year Nominees and welcomed Guest Speaker: Larry Lopez - Director of 'Accelerating Commercialisation', Larry leads the Government’s efforts to identify and help emerging businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers commercialise novel products, processes and services with significant market potential. Larry spoke about the importance of innovation and how crucial it is for Australian businesses (especially manufacturers) to embrace a culture of innovation if they are to survive in an increasingly competitive global economy.
